Dawson Creek, B.C. – Police say the victim of a kidnapping and shooting in Dawson Creek over the weekend is out of surgery and in stable condition.

Mounties say the 26 year old male (see original story here) was shot multiple times yet managed to drag himself to a roadway where he was picked up and taken to hospital.

Mounties believe the incident was drug related and the result of ongoing gang violence in the Peace region.

They ask anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour near the intersection of 102nd Avenue and 17th Street during the hours of 10:30 pm to midnight on Friday to either call police or Crime Stoppers.
