Elections BC Release Trustee Expenses
Prince George, B.C. – Spending the most money during an election campaign as Chris Stern and Dori Alger did, doesn’t always guarantee electoral success at the ballot box.
Both failed to gain a trustee seat in the Prince George School District last November despite the fact Stern spent $6,898 and Alger spent $3,961 – by far the highest expenses of all 18 candidates.
(Almost all of Stern’s contributions, $7,000, came from trade unions while $3,500 of Alger’s contributions were also from trade unions).
Of the elected trustees, top vote getter Trish Bella spent the most at $2,717, while Tim Bennett spent the least at $501.
Here’s the rest of the expenses for those elected to the Board:
Brenda Hooker $ 1,511
Sharel Warrington: $1,292
Bruce Wiebe: $1,097
Bob Harris: $ 923
Tony Cable: $643

The article doesn’t make sense: Stern spent $6,898 of which “almost all”, $7,000, came from trade unions? Are those figures reversed?
