Prince George, B.C.- The Coroner’s inquest into the deaths of Glenn Roche and Al Little will get underway this morning in Prince George.

The explosion happened just three months after a similar double fatal blast at the Babine Forest products mill in Burns Lake.
There has been criticism over the fact criminal charges were not laid in the wake of the two explosions, but Crown said charges could not be laid as there were serious flaws in the manner in which WorkSafeBC had conducted the investigations.
A Coroner’s Inquest cannot lay blame, it can only determine how, where and when the two men died, and make recommendations aimed at preventing such deaths in the future.
Initially, this inquest was to combine the Burns Lake and Prince George explosions, but the Chief Coroner, Lisa Lapoint decided last month to separate the two and will hold the Burns Lake inquest in Burns Lake in mid July.
