Prince George, B.C.- Picket lines will be up at UNBC in the morning as contract talks between the University and the UNBC Faculty Association have broken off.President of the UNBC Faculty Association, Jacqueline Holler says the talks broke off around 9 tonight, with both sides, “a significant distance apart” on the issue of wages.
Picket lines will be set up at 8 a.m. Thursday at the main UNBC campus in Prince George, the BMO satellite campus on Third Avenue, the Wood Innovation and Design Centre, and at the campus in Terrace.
BC Transit has advised that it will not have drivers crossing the picket lines, so buses will be making stops on University Way.
The main UNBC campus will remain open, but there will be no classes.
