Prince George, B.C. – D-75142.

That’s the winning 50/50 ticket from Saturday night’s draw at CN Centre during the game between the Prince George Cougars and Victoria Royals.

It was selected this afternoon by Cougars 50/50 Society president Ken Sands.

The winner has five days full days to claim their prize and the winner will share half the more than $67,000 jackpot.

The other half will go towards the Shelly L. Mrkonjic ALS Research Fund.

Cougars vice-president of business Andy Beesley says the delay in announcing the winning ticket was due to the unprecedented number of tickets that were sold.

“The system just got way behind in printing the tickets. Every time somebody buys a ticket from the kiosk we have something called a ticket spinner that spits out an individual ticket into a barrel,” he says. “So the issue was the printers were struggling to keep up and the Gaming Branch wanted to be sure that all the tickets were printed and in the barrel for the draw.”

If you have the winning ticket you are asked to call the Cougars office at 250-561-0783 to begin the verification process.

If a winner doesn’t come forward within five days a new ticket will be drawn.
