Prince George, B.C. – It didn’t take the winner of the big Prince George Cougars 50-50 jackpot long to claim their prize this afternoon.
Immediately after finding out the draw had taken place, Anthony Santos checked the two $20 tickets he had purchased during Saturday’s game at CN Centre.
“I took a photo of each ticket so I could check at work,” said the 20 year old local car salesman. “Then my co-worker told me the ticket had been drawn. He showed me the number, I looked on my phone, showed him the ticket, he’s like you won and I didn’t believe it.”
And what does Santos plan to do with his $33,533 prize?
“I’ll probably buy a new car and take a trip to Mexico. I’ll probably save the rest.”

Congrats.
He should spend that money on financial planning courses….. he won’t be banking much after buying a new car and going to Mexico.
Way to go Anthony a trip to Portugal is better
PG101, the guy is a car salesman, so I’m betting he understands much better than you what a vehicle is worth and like a smart person, doesn’t spend more on a to b transportation than is necessary, leaving plenty of money for a trip to Mexico and savings. Me thinks you’re the one who needs a lesson in financial planning and manners too.
Congrats to Anthony, enjoy your new car and trip.
PG101, what good is money in the bank when there is a life to live. Any way it wasn’t you that won so be negative and I will put your name in the draw box for curmudgeon of the week, your chances are good for a win.
PG101 you absolutely correct. Imagine going to Mexico with all that good luck. Car salesman br br.
