Lheidli T’enneh Holds Election

Prince George, B.C. – It’s election day for the Lheidli T’enneh.
Chief electoral officer Loreen Suhr says four candidates are in the running for band chief, including incumbent Dominic Frederick.
The others are Jo-anne Berezanki, Barry Seymour, and Louella Nome.
She says there are 21 candidates vying for four council positions and 327 eligible voters.
Voting began at 9AM this morning with results expected late tonight.
Suhr says successful candidates are elected to a two year term.
