Must be like shooting fish in a barrel for the police. It seems the Danson Industrial site has a 3-5am rush hour every morning for local thieves. Most nights usually a RCMP suv lurking around out there as well just waiting for the inevitable. Seem that area at that time attracts would be thieves like a moths to a light.
Not sure what it is like today, but the Carter Light Industrial area was like a magnet for petty thieves from the mid 80’s through to 2005 at least.
We did not see much of a police presence throughout those years, in fact the business owners in the area got together and hired a dedicated security patrol, which eventually devolved to a contract with one of the existing security companies. I think that has gone by the wayside.
