Prince George, B.C. – The strong winds blowing through north-central BC have certainly done some damage in and around the Prince George area.

Crews have been busy cutting and removing trees which have come down within the city, as show in these pictures passed on by 250 News reporter Greg Fry.

Once again, officials urge you to stay away from areas in which power lines have been brought down by the wind or trees.

Sykes Rd in College Heights had its share as well.

God bless you BC Hydro. You got the power on so I could watch the last half of the Canucks game

People have to be warned about avoiding downed power lines? Let Darwin’s Theory sort them out.

That pole is half way down too, out west we still have power but I heard the blackwater is out

Its really too bad losing more of these big beautiful old trees. If people have them on their property and want to keep them, just get the top ten feet or so lopped off. You lose a little bit but you gain keeping the tree in a windstorm. That’s all it takes.
