CNC Postpones Vote On Program Cuts
Prince George, BC – In a late afternoon media release, the College of New Caledonia has announced its Board of Governors will postpone next Friday’s vote on budget cuts…
Communication Services Manager, Annette Stevens, says the decision comes in light of “an overwhelming amount of considerable and thoughtful feedback regarding potential program suspensions and changes in services.” (click here, for previous story)
Stevens now says next Friday’s board meeting at 12:30pm will be followed by a public forum from 2pm until 4pm in lecture theatre 1-306, where groups and individuals will have the chance to ask questions and present their concerns about the proposed changes.
Anyone wishing to make a presentation during the Board of Governors’ meeting must apply to do so by 5pm, Tuesday, March 24th. (Applicants must provide a detailed overview to Board Executive Assistant Marlene Beaulieu at beaulieum@cnc.bc.ca)
The vote, itself, has been postponed to next month’s meeting on Friday, April 24th.
