One Person In Hospital Following Violent Offence

Prince George, BC – Prince George RCMP say one person has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries and officers are still on the scene of what’s being described as a violent offence…

Media Relations Officer, Corporal Craig Douglass, says officers received a report of a man down at the corner of 5th and Gillett at approximately 10:30am this morning.

Douglass says emergency responders found an adult male suffering from serious injuries.  The victim was transported to the University Hospital of Northern BC.

Members of the Prince George Detachment’s Serious Crime and Forensic Identification Sections have been called in and the westbound lanes of 5th Avenue, from Carney Street to Gillett, will remain closed for several hours.

Corporal Douglass is asking for anyone who may have information on this morning’s incident to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
