It’s called a locking gas cap…..

I think I would rather them siphon than punch a screwdriver through my tank.

Newer model fords don’t even have gas caps anymore.

They don’t even go thru the gas cap….. the go under and cut thru rubber hose connecting the filler spout to the tank. most tanks won’t allow a hose to be fed down them.

So newer model Fords just leave the filler tube open? Hard to believe.

Ah those Rotweiler and German Shepards are great Dogs, keep your Bow and Arrow handy, to much Trouble owning Guns now! Hook up an Electric Fence Unit at Night to your Car if you in the Country, or don’t own a Car just keep a Horse!

Actually the newer model fords have something similar to a gas cap that forms part of the inside of the filler door. It slides into the opening in the filler tube to close it off when you close the filler door.
These idiot gas thieves are actually crawling underneath and punching a hole in the plastic gas tank then draining the contents.
I guess Karma would have them forget to put out their smoke before punching the hole!

billposer – its a little “door” inside the mouth of the filler tube that is tripped when the exact right size tube (gas pump nozzle) is put in it. They come with an adapter that slides in if you ever need to pour from a jerry can. So no, you cannot siphon – but yes, they are going through the tank itself as Nytehawwk and others mentioned.
