Nominations for Crime Awareness Week Now Open
Prince George, B.C. – Victim Services have put out the call for nominations.
The victim services units from the Prince George RCMP, the Prince George Native Friendship Centre and the Elizabeth Fry Society are seeking individuals, groups or businesses that have made a significant contribution and have influenced positive change in the lives of youth in Prince George.
There are three categories for the nominations:
1. Community volunteers working with youth
2. Youth service providers who go above and beyond
3. A youth who stands up and speaks out against violence
The deadline for nominations is April 15 and can be submitted via email to: nkingsmith@pgnfc.com.
The winners will be announced at the National Victims of Crime Awareness Week Gala at the Coast Inn of the North on April 22.
Victim services units provide timely and supportive assistance to lessen the impact of crime and trauma.
