Easter Activities at Fort George Park

Saturday, April 4, 2015 @ 4:03 AM

Prince George, B.C. – It is really quite quiet in Prince George this Easter long weekend, at least in terms of organized activities for those in the adult world.

For the kids, of course, Easter is one of those magical moments in a year, one which includes bunnies (chocolate or otherwise) and playing with friends and easter egg hunts.  And while the weather may not be quite as nice as it was Friday,  there are all sorts of fun things for the kids to do today at Fort George Park.

Fun4Families Canada is hosting Easter in the Park, which runs from 11 this morning till 4 this afternoon.  It starts off at 11 with a market and races and lots of other things to do.  Games are on the agenda from noon till 2, with a cost of $2 for five tickets.  The Easter egg hunt, for children aged 2 to 10, costs $5 a child and runs from 2 to 4pm.  The money raised from those events goes to cover costs and help fund upcoming events put on by Fun4Families Canada.

As well Team Diller, one of the teams in the Relay for Life, will be on hand with a barbecue and bake sale which serves as a fundraiser for the relay in May.

There will be plenty to do and a DJ, too, in Fort George Park today.  A fun day for the kids.
