BC Book Prize Finalists Headed North

Prince George, B.C. – BC Book Prize finalists are heading to northern, B.C.

Aislinn Hunter, author of “The World Before Us,” and Gabrielle Prendergast, author of “Capricious,” will be visiting schools and libraries in the communities of Pouce Coupe, Dawson Creek, Hudson’s Hope, Chetwynd, and Fort St. John today through Friday.

Then next week, April 13-16, Prendergast and Kayla Czaga, author of “For your Safety Please,” will be visiting schools and libraries in the communities of Kitimat, Terrace, Smithers, Prince George, Quesnel, Fort St. James, and Vanderhoof.

Tomorrow night in Fort St. John you can meet the authors and have your books signed at the Fort St. John Public Library starting at 7 pm.

Next week similar free events will take place in Kitimat on Monday, April 13 at the Kitimat Public Libray and on Thursday the 16th, at Smithers Public Library.

Both events start at 7 pm.

They are in Prince George and Quesnel the 15th:

9 a.m. at Heather Park Elementary (one author at each school)
9 a.m. at Kelly Road Secondary

1 pm at Kersley Elementary
1:45 pm at Corelieu Secondary

And Fort St. James and Vanderhoof the 16th:

9:30 a.m. at David Hay Elementary
10 a.m. at Fort St. James Secondary

1:00 p.m. at Nechako Secondary
1:15 p.m. at WL McLeod Elementary

Winners will be chosen April 25 in Vancouver.
