P.G. Community Foundation Distributes Funds

Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Community Foundation has kept with its pledge of “Giving Something Back” to the community.

It did so by delivering its Fall 2014-2015 Grants at a grant award reception this evening.

Nearly $20,000 will be shared by the following:

Prince George Conservatory of Music

United Nations Association in Canada – Prince George Branch

Caledonia Ramblers Trust – Friends of the Ancient Forest

Hope Air, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Prince George Metis Housing Society, Volunteer Prince George

Zajac Ranch

In addition, over $25,000 was allocated by the Fraser-Fort George Endowment fund for projects that will enhance the quality of life for residents living in electoral areas A,C,E,F and G within the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.

“We are pleased to recognize that all of these organizations have contributed a great deal to the quality of our community and all of them are supported by very dedicated volunteers,” says Community Foundation president Ray Noonan.

Since the Community Foundation started its work 20 years ago, the organization has distributed more than $1 million.
