Axe-Wielding Man Robs Quesnel Convenience Store
Quensel, B.C. – Mounties in Quesnel are investigating a convenience store robbery.
Police say it occurred early yesterday morning at a store located on the 200 block of Anderson Drive.
Staff Sergeant Steve Vrolyk say a lone male, approximately six feet tall, with a medium build, and wearing a black mask, entered the store with an axe.
He says he stole a small amount of cash, lottery tickets,and cigarettes before fleeing in an older model, white SUV. There were no injuries.
“We are pursuing leads regarding this robbery, and are increasing our patrols of the area. Our General Investigation Section and the Crime Reduction Unit are assisting in this investigation.”
