CNC Scrub Drive

Prince George, B.C. – The College of New Caledonia is launching another scrub drive.

Nursing instructor Nancy Esopenko says the proceeds will help fund CNC’s Making a Difference Bursary for health sciences students.

“Over the last few years, the scrub sale has helped make studying health sciences more affordable for students,” says Esopenko. “It also gives health professionals a chance to give back to our community.”

Health professionals can help by donating and dropping off their scrubs at the CNC library, Lakewood Dental, or the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation Office at the University Hospital of Northern BC.

Esopenko says all health professionals can donate their scrubs and only asks they are washed, in good shape and recyclable.

The donated scrubs will then be sold to students and the public for $5 each on April 20 in the Gathering Place.

Since 2011, sales from the scrub drive have funded bursaries of $250 each, which are given out annually to five CNC health sciences students in financial need.
