Dawson Creek, B.C. – Cold feet literally led to the arrest of a 21 year old suspect in Dawson Creek Monday.
Police say it all began when a man was clocked travelling over 150 km/hr southbound along Highway 97 into Dawson Creek.
When the authorities attempted a traffic stop the suspect stopped his vehicle in the middle of the highway and ran into the bush.
Police say unfortunately for the man, he forgot to tie his shoe laces and ended up abandoning them 25 feet off the highway, where he proceeded barefoot into the bush crossing several small bodies of water.
Police Dog Services were then called in to help track the suspect and an arrest was eventually made.
The 21 year old now faces several criminal code and motor vehicle act charges.

If there isn’t already a country song about this, there should be.
More like a rap song. It doesn’t make any sense.
Wonder why they didn’t soot him like the American cops do.

retired2 americans might be trigger happy and our police aren’t?????
Retired02, they probably would try to smoke him out before they soot him… ;)
