Prince George, B.C. – A very mild winter in the Prince George area is resulting in an earlier-than-normal opening for one of the city’s parks and all of its sports fields.
The City of Prince George will be opening Connaught Hill Park on Sunday, April 19th for vehicle access. That is about a week ahead of the usual opening date. The gates will be open from April through August from 8:00am to 9:00pm and September through October from 8:00am to 7:30pm.
Meantime city sports fields, which normally are opened for public use around the beginning of May, are instead opening for the year on Monday. However the public is urged to avoid aggressive activities on wet areas of the fields to prevent them from getting excessively damaged.
