Prince George, B.C. – The provincial government has pitched in $7,000 to support this year’s World Baseball Challenge in Prince George.

The August 14 to 23 event will take place at Citizen’s field. Victoria has also granted the Mackenzie’s Rainbow Swim Club $975 for its BCSSA Cariboo Regional Swim Meet this August.

“The 2015 World Baseball Challenge is a popular event that dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly on to successfully host in Prince George for several years,” says Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris. “The Mackenzie Rainbows Swim Club has provided swimmers with the opportunity to train competitively for many years.”

In total, the Hosting BC grants are providing 38 events in 25 communities more than $125,000.
