ICARS is responsible for investigating the forensic aspect of all vehicle collisions that result in serious injury or death.

“We’re here skidding cars, and we’ve got some support analysts that are new to the program,” said North District Constable John Burns. “It’s collision reconstruction training and one of the basis of our testing is to see how cars react with the asphalt. Driving them down the road and punching the brakes. It’s training that allows us to be more accurate with our job.”

Today’s training session included members from the RCMP’s Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Terrace and Prince George detachments.
