Sustainability Grants for Northern B.C.

Prince George, B.C. – The provincial government has granted over $236,000 to support sustainability measures in northern B.C.
The money will be divided up between the following areas:
Prince George – $177,646
Fraser-Fort George Regional District – $18,709
McBride – $3,863
Valemount – $3,581
Mackenzie – $32,233
The money comes from the Climate Action Revenue Program which goes to communities that have signed the Climate Action Charter and supports their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Since 2008, the B.C. government has provided more than $25 million through the Climate Action Revenue Incentive Program.
96% of communities in the province are participating in the program.
