Fort St. James, B.C. – Police in Fort St. James have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a rash of property crimes and driving offences in the area.

Mounties captured the suspect, with the assistance of North District Police Dog Services, at a residence in Fort St. James today.

They did so after establishing a perimeter around an area the man had been observed driving “treacherously” in.

Police say the 30 year old suspect from Fort St. James is well known to police and could be facing criminal code driving charges, possession of stolen property, and several counts of assaulting a police officer.

The suspect’s name has not been released.
