Hunting Death Deemed Tragic Accident

Houston, B.C.- It has been nearly a year since a Washington state man died in a shooting incident about 112 km south of Houston. Crown Counsel has concluded there will be no charges in relation to this death.
On May 26, 2014 Houston RCMP were advised of a shooting incident in the Tahtsa Reach Forest Service area. When police arrived on scene, they discovered 59 year old Jeffrey Cooper of Washington, dead at the scene.
Cooper had been Grizzly bear hunting in the area at the time.
A complete investigation was conducted, and a report forwarded to Provincial crown Counsel.
After a lengthy and careful review of the evidence gathered, Crown Counsel has concluded that no charges will be approved in relation to this tragic accident.
