Prince George, B.C. – Emergency personnel in Prince George were called to the scene of a fire off Chief Lake Road this evening.

A number of fire trucks and police cruisers responded to the 8500 block of McGuire Road, off Chief Lake Road, between 7 and 7:30 pm.  Initial but unconfirmed information is that there was a barbecue fire which set the siding of the structure ablaze.   It is not known whether anyone was hurt in the fire.

The exact cause and the extent of damage have not been released.
