Prince George, B.C. – Kelly Road Secondary School and Heather Park Elementary are no longer under lockdown.
Both were locked shut this morning by police after reports of a firearm in a wooded area near Kelly Road.
A subsequent investigation yielded a pellet gun. Police say a male high school student was spoken to by officers and say no criminal intent was found.
Mounties say the incident serves as a reminder that it is never acceptable to bring a weapon of any kind near a school.
