Prince George, B.C. – Charges have been laid against two people in relation to a violent home invasion last week.

Police say the incident occurred the night of May 7 at a home on the 2400 block of Oak Street.

A subsequent investigation revealed an adult male and an adult female broke into the home, assaulted one person, then fled on foot.

An adult male was seriously injured as a result and was sent to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

Shortly afterwards 26 year old suspect Ann Brittany Tom was arrested and later charged with three offences including aggravated assault and two break and enter related charges.

The male suspect, 24 year old Ivan Christopher Skin, was also arrested and faces a string of charges including aggravated assault, uttering threats and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Both have been remanded in police custody until court dates scheduled for later this month.

Police believe this was not a random attack adding the victim and offenders likely knew each other.
