Prince George, B.C. – The search is on for a suspect in an armed robbery in Prince George.

Mounties say it happened last night at approximately 9:30pm at a gas station on the 5100 block of Domano Boulevard.

According to police a lone male suspect entered the business and produced an edged weapon, demanded cash, then fled on foot.

The employee was not harmed but police say the response to the crime was delayed because 9-1-1 was not immediately called.

The suspect is described as follows:

Caucasian male
35-40 years old
5’8″
Thin build
Black hair with a few days stubble
A tattoo on his right forearm
Wearing a white hat with black brim and a black sporty jacket with white shoulders and white stripes across the chest.
