Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George region has been under a severe thunderstorm watch for most of the day, and now, well, we are watching it as it rolls through the area.
Lightning strikes have caused a couple of power outages in the Prince George area, with some BC Hydro customers in the Miworth region, and to the east of the Fraser River on Foreman Road, in the dark.
BC Hydro is hoping to have power restored by eleven tonight.
This storm is capable of producing large hail and severe downpours. Environment Canada expects it to impact Vanderhoof as well.
