Prince George, B.C. – It will be sure to be a weekend of intrigue at Huble Homestead.

The second annual ‘Homicide on the Homestead: A Murder Mystery’ runs today and tomorrow.

Operations manager Krystal Leason says this year’s theme is based “very loosely” on local history.

“Essentially the railway is coming to Fort George, but we don’t know if the tracks will go on the east or west side of the river. This was a major issue in 1912 – Mr. Huble actually bought that land where the Huble Homestead is because he was banking on the railway coming on the west side of the river.”

She says registered participants are encouraged to wear costumes, adding the event planned originally just for today, has been held over to tomorrow.

“I think it’s just really a fun event,” says Leason. “People love to get together with friends and sort of pretend to be someone else. There’s not really any acting involved, people can ham it up as much as they want to.”
