Stabbing in Williams Lake
Williams Lake, B.C. – One man is in stable condition following a stabbing Sunday night in Williams Lake.
North District Corporal Dave Tyreman says it happened just after 6:30 in the 900 block of Western Avenue.
He says two woman were fighting out front of a residence when a group of people came out of a nearby residence and attacked one of the men who was with one of the woman involved in the fight.
“It is believed that one of the attackers punched the victim in the face, stabbed him twice, and then fled the scene,” says Tyreman. “The victim was taken to hospital and is currently in stable condition.”
He believes this was an isolated incident as all parties are known to police.
Tyreman asks anyone with information about the stabbing and who may be able to identify the suspect, to call the Williams Lake RCMP at 250-392-8707.
