Prince George, B.C. – Those seeking employment are encouraged to attend a job fair at the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society (IMSS) of Prince George this afternoon.

“There are 19 employers coming, everything from education and training to healthcare and natural resources,” says employment counsellor Laurie Dillman. “So we’ve got a wide variety.”

She adds the biannual event is open to the entire public, not just immigrants and refugees and believes it will offer a good chance at employment.

“It’s smaller but there is an opportunity for people to talk directly with the recruiting officers for specific companies,” says Dillman. “We’re also hosting presentations, each business or participant will have a few minutes to give a small presentation about their organizations, what they’re looking for and key things to think about in an application.”

She says the fair runs from 1-4pm. The IMSS office is located at 1270, 2nd Avenue.
