Unemployment Shows Slight Increase in P.G.
Prince George, B.C.- The unemployment rate was sitting at 6.6% in Prince George last month, up from the even 6% recorded in May of 2014. “The change is not statistically significant” says Stats Canada’s Vincent Ferrao.Ferrao says the change reflects a decline in the number of people in the workforce as there had been 49,700 in the workforce in May of 2014, but 45,600 last month. He says the numbers indicated that while people left the work force, they did not register for unemployment. The decline was largely in part time work.
For the Cariboo region the unemployment rate was 7.7% last month compared to 7.2% in the same month a year ago.
Provincially, the unemployment rate slipped ever so slightly to 6.1% from the 6.2% recorded in May of last year.
Nationally there was also little change, with last month’s unemployment rate registering 6.8%, down from the 7% recorded in May of 2014.

Please fix the print view so only the article is is printed on a frugal amount of paper. Sort of like what Kijiji does with their print button.
Tossing out 4 pages of ads is not cool with me or my employer.
Can select the section and print that part only.
You folks do know that twofivezero lives on ad revenue , right ? So spend a few minutes clicking on the ads .
The site needs to add an @Media rule for “Print” in the head tags and corresponding styles in the CSS. There’s no reason why it couldn’t print the article on one page, surrounded by a set of ads. And print it in greyscale instead of colour. Not everybody knows how to adjust their ink usage in the print window.
Loki don’t blame 250 , it may be a little lack of knowledge of how to use your printer. Simply highlight what you want to print(like when you want to copy and paste) when you press print your printer will ask how many pages and such fort , where it says selection check it off, the printer will print only what you have highlighted as explained above, try a small sample and let me know how it comes out. good luck
Clicking on ads doesn’t generate revenue, ‘Ataloss’ . Ads are charged by ‘views’ , not ‘clicks’.
Going off and on topic, nice to see job market is stable.
