Prince George, B.C. – A touching moment this afternoon at The Exploration Place in Prince George.

Trent Seymour, who was just 17 years old when he was critically injured in a hunting accident last year, was presented with an all-terrain wheelchair which will allow him to resume his outdoor lifestyle.

“It just feels unreal to be sitting in it,” said Seymour. “It’s unreal, it’s everything I could have asked for.”

The donation was made possible by a community fundraiser in January which helped raise over $34,000, $25,000 of which went to the purchase of the custom chair.

Seymour promised to put it to good use “Oh yeah, I was a country boy before my accident and still plan to be.”

The Lheidli T’enneh Nation, the PG Metis Housing Society and The Exploration Place helped organize the fundraiser while Treasure Cove Show Lounge and Integris Credit Union were major donors.

Fantastic…hope you have lots of fun out in the woods.

Right on! Looks like an amazing vehicle. Keep on trucking Trent.

Well, that brought a tear to my eye. What a wonderful thing to do. You go, Trent, gitchermoose, guy!

This is wonderful. Enjoy, Trent!

Trent made my month today. He’s an amazing young man and apparently there is no learning curve for him cause he was trying for wheelies right away. What a great attitude! Thanks go everyone who helped make this possible! Prince George is an incredible community!

What a touching and positive story. Well done Greg Fry and well done 250News

Sweet looking chair, will be able to go a lot of places with that!

A good news story, thank you for that. This gift should help the young man expand his horizons, and that is a great thing indeed.
metalman.

I hope it works as well out of doors as it does inside . Nice easy rider riflerack . I wonder who built it .

I hope I don’t sound insensitive….. I want one of those! That thing looks wicked!

Finally a wheel chair that will work. I wish Blair Morgan would get back on the design team for BRP and bring in a whole new line as well. I cannot see how any of those other wheel chairs can even get around in our winters.

That is pretty cool! Good to see the young man will be able to get back to the places he enjoys so much.

Keep going young man, Change the world. you can bring different insight to solutions from your experience.
