Prince George, B.C. – Over 1,300 people have registered to take part in today’s 8 km Mudd Sweat &Tears obstacle course race at Otway Nordic Centre.
Race director John Reed says that already exceeds the 1,000 people they were aiming to attract and attributes it to a couple of reasons.
“It’s the first time a race of this kind has been held in the North, plus Prince George is a very fit and active community.”
He says participants can expect “lots of walls, crawls, mud pits, barbed wire, elevation, and good trails.”
Reed also notes the BC Professional Firefighters Association Burn Fund will receive a $1,500 donation (as they do for all their events).
He says people 14 years old and up can participate with heats starting at 9am.
