Mounties Investigate Attempted Murder
Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Mounties are looking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for an attempted murder Sunday.
As 250 News reported Sunday (see previous story here), it follows a shooting in a rented room at the Connaught Motor Inn at 3 am that morning.
Following the gunfire, Corporal Craig Douglass says officers arrived on scene to find a 24 year old man suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.
“It appears two male suspects fled the area following the shooting,” he says. “Attempts to track the suspect with a Police Service Dog were unsuccessful.”
Douglass says the victim was rushed to the University Hospital Hospital of Northern BC for treatment and is expected to survive.
He adds police believe it was “a targeted act.”
Anyone with information about this alleged crime is asked to call police.
