Cougars Draft Two Europeans

Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars selected two players in today’s 2015 CHL Import Draft.

Their first choice (20th overall) was 17 year old forward Bartek Bison of the Netherlands. The 6’3″, 187 pound Bison scored four goals and added four assists in 29 games last year with Jungadler Mannheim of the German Development League.

Recently Bison was drafted by the USHL’s Madison Capitals in the 21st round of the 2015 USHL Draft.

With their second pick (80th overall) the Cougars chose 6’5″, 205 pound 1997-born defenceman Luka Zorko of Slovenia.

Zorko spent the past two seasons playing in the Russian Junior Hockey League with Atlanty Mytishchi.

Last season he scored two goals, four assists and had 26 penalty minutes. In addition, he won a bronze medal (2013-14) with Slovenia in the U-18 D1B World Junior Tournament.
