Two Accidents Spark Emergency Responses

Prince George, B.C. – Emergency services personnel in Prince George have been pressed into action responding to two accidents involving motor vehicles in the past hour.

Prince George Regional Highway Rescue with four members and the RCMP responded to a single-vehicle accident near Nukko Lake just after 1:30 pm.  The rollover occurred  on Chief Lake Road past the Eena Lake Road turnoff and near the Lakes Community Church.  There is no information available at this time regarding the number of people involved or possible injuries.

Then at approximately 1:40 pm police, Fire Rescue and ambulance personnel responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle near 20th and Central.  The victim, a male, may have suffered a medical incident following the impact.  He has been taken to University Hospital of Northern BC for treatment.

An RCMP officer on scene said while the nature of the man’s injuries was unclear, it was believed he was not seriously hurt.
