Police Release Name of Missing Swimmer
Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George RCMP has released the name of the teenaged boy who went missing while swimming with a friend in the Fraser River near the Hudson’s Bay Slough last Friday.
He is 15 year old William Quail of Prince George and is described as follows:
Caucasian male
156 cm (5’5″)
54 kg (120 lbs)
Short blonde hair
Blue eyes
Last seen wearing blue jeans, gold and black DC running shoes and a black t-shirt
The search for Quail, which included the assistance of the Prince George Search and Rescue Society and Emergency Management B.C., concluded Sunday at noon.
The BC RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team also conducted an unsuccessful underwater search of the area.
If you were near the Hudson’s Bay Slough or Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Friday afternoon and have any information or may have witnessed these boys prior to the incident you are asked to call police at 250-561-3300.
