The last story where records were beat elsewhere in the province we were .5 degrees less than the same day June 27th, 1938 and did not break any records. Quesnel in 1896 was 34 degrees on June 27th… We can measure it by degrees for sure…

The cogent question that needs to be asked here is; when a weather record falls, why does it always have to be a warm weather record, why not a cold weather record?

Do the research, how many warm weather records have been broken compared to cold weather records, over the last decade?

My point is . We are seeing scrubs replacing grass land in the arctic . The trees can’t handle mild winters because the bugs that eat them thrive in warm winters and hot summers . The pines need to move north and they need replacing but by what . And . I’d rather see some one with a background in botany (plant life science ) running the ministry of forests . Forestry needs hundred ( s) year planning .

Not often (if ever) do I agree with People #1 but climate change is real and it’s killing us.

The climate in this area has changed since I was a little grasshopper, it’s still changing. It’s nothing new and it certainly isn’t anything to get in to a frazzle about. Things happen. The milder winders are nice, haven’t worn long johns in years. So them what is concerned about climate change, go worry yourselves somewhere else.

It has warmed about .8 degree since then but temperatures are not yet increased to what they were before the LIA. Most glacier melt happened before man could have had an affect. For the last 7000 years temperatures are trended down.

I thought I read somewhere that the last decade (2000-2009) was the warmest in recorded history.

Here is a very good chart that shows how skeptics view global warming verse how realists view global warming. This has even presented on this site recently, with a skeptic asking why global warming has stopped “over the last 15 years”.

Watch the chart changes carefully and you will see the skeptics use short 10 to 15 years comarisons as proof there is no global warming, whereas intelligent realists view the larger picture and look at the longer upward trend in global termperatures.

Not to worry, now that we have debunked the deniers assertions about the last 10 years not warming, they will invent another approach, funded and distributed of course by the fossil fuel industry.
