Prince George, B.C.- Council for the City of Prince George meets this evening, and the  focus will be on an application  to  change the official community plan.The proposal involves the property  at Highway 16 and Gauthier Road.  The property owner would like to  have the block  which includes the current service station, mobile homes  and a single family dwelling,  re-designated to properly reflect the current uses,  and to  allow for future subdivision.

Also on the agenda for this evening,  a presentation  from ColdSnap, as it  celebrates its  Winter Games  success  and plans  for the future.  There will also be a presentation from KidSport, the program which provides funding  to  eligible children  ( one sport grant  per child) so they can participate in  sport.

There is also a request to have Council make a  change to its  meeting schedule,  calling for next week’s session to be a meeting of the Committee of the whole instead of a  Council  meeting, the only topic on the agenda for that  meeting will be road repair and snow removal.
