Prince George, B.C. – Summer centennial celebrations continued today with some live music at Canada Games Plaza.

Folk/Garage outfit “Socks and Shoes” took the stage at noon to an appreciative crowd.

The music continues all week with performances each lunch hour (through Thursday) culminating with an evening of entertainment scheduled for Friday night when “The Pucks” and “Black Spruce Bog” take the stage starting at 6:30 pm.

“The idea is to keep the spirit of the Winter Games alive but also at the same time to celebrate our 100th anniversary,” said City Councillor Albert Koehler. “To keep on celebrating not just one day but celebrating throughout the summer.”

All the bands performing this week are from Prince George. For more information click here.

awesome but i always notice shots of the library area and even during the winter games tried to hide the giant unfinished wood fenced project that was glaring to anyone there

Speaking of that project, how long until the city orders the site cleaned up like the trailer park?
