They drove all the way to Smithers?

Well I guess given the incident at the other oil field work camp which resulted in the death of a worker staying at the camp, they weren’t taking any chances.

In an emergency, I have to wonder why they didn’t fly to Smithers? Seems to me that if they need to get there that quickly there should be viable alternative transport.

Yeah.. the party was wayyy over by the time they got there. Wondering why they didn’t fly to Terrace and take a float plane from there.. No float planes in Terrace??

Look up mustering .

you would think the RCMP would invest in an ERT to be stationed in Terrace. Instead they go on a 400 km road trip doing 150km all the way, endangering everyone on the highway.

There are only 5 ERT teams in the province I believe with the one in PG covering everything from 100 mile North the other ERT teams are in Kamloops, Kelowna and 2 in the lower mainland.

As to flying the team there I can only supposition that there was nothing available to fly them there at the time and a decision was made.

You should all stop what you are doing right now and apply for an RCMP job in a management position.
