Mayor and Council join KidSport  reps for the cheque presentation – photo submitted

Prince George, B.C.-  KidSport, the program that provides funding  to  youngsters so they can participate in  sport,  received a  cash boost  at Prince George City Council last evening.

While KidSport was  at the  Council meeting to  share  information about the program, Shaw Cable reps attended to  make a presentation.

Shaw Communications presented  a cheque for $10 thousand dollars  to the  organization. The dollars had been raised through a social media  campaign during the Canada Winter Games.  Shaw  agreed to  put  money  into the KidSport program  for each  time  #2015CanGames was tweeted on twitter.

It was tweeted just over  ten thousand times, so that  meant a  donation of $10 grand to the  organization.
