Williams Lake, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District has  lifted the evacuation order for two more property owners south of Puntzi Creek.

The two properties affected  remain on evacuation alert, all other areas of Puntzi Lake which are on Evacuation Order or Alert remain unchanged.

The Puntzi Lake fire is  estimated to be 8,089 hectares in size and is 40% contained on the southwestern flank.

The CRD says  further changes to Evacuation Orders and Alerts will be determined as areas are deemed safe for re-entry and normal activities.
