Job Fairs on Hold
Prince George, B.C.- BC Hydro has postponed the Site C job fairs that were supposed to start next week.
The delay follows a disturbance at the Site C Open house in Dawson Creek last week. There was a man who caused a disturbance inside the Fixx Urban Grill, he was escorted out by security and by all accounts, left the scene. The police were called and when they arrived, they were involved in a confrontation outside the building with a different man, a confrontation that ended with the man being shot by police.
BC Hydro says it is “evaluating its policies and procedures for public meetings. The postponement of the job fairs will give us time to complete this task. Our intent is to ensure the safety of our staff and members of the public.”
The job fairs, which were to take place in Tumbler ridge, Fort St. John and Chetwynd, will be postponed until September.

This is a very disturbing situation, on a number of different levels!
Who was the man causing the initial disturbance? Where did he go? Was he associated with the man who was shot?
Why was the man who was ultimately involved in the confrontation there? Why the mask?
Why did the police use lethal force rather than taking time to deescalated the situation or use less lethal force?
Lot’s and lot’s of unanswered questions!
a good example why they need their tasers back?????
What they need most of all is communication skills.
Cheers
How much time off do the police get after killing someone ?
