Prince George, B.C. – The strike by members of the Compensation Employees Union, at WorkSafe BC is over.
The union had served strike notice on the 13th of July, and job action, which was essentially a work to rule campaign, started on the 16th.
The union and Public Service Employers Council reached a tentative agreement late last week.
The agreement covers five years from April 1st of 2014. It gives the workers a 5.5% wage increase over the length of the contract.
The union is recommending the membership accept the tentative agreement. The Compensation Employees union represents 2100 workers throughout the province including those who work in Prince George.

work to rule is really not a very effective option… usually more gets done then than in any other period of time….
