I’m confused. I thought they were running in a federal election. Nice to see that they finally got their act together and are going to have a mail in ballot. That is a lot easier than actually taking the vote out to the people in the region.
Watch harper call it early sept. 14th cause he’s running scared .
Leaving the nomination until August 29th doesn’t leave much time for the candidate to get organized.
Harper being one of the smartest politicians on the Canadian scene to-day, might call the election early which is what is scaring people like Ataloss.
Ataloss and others of his ilk are already afraid that they will lose seats in this election, and want to hold on to their status as the official opposition as long as possible.
Ataloss will tell you that he is a Greeny, however I suspect he is a closet NDP’er and is terrified of the possibility of Harper winning another majority.
I’ll be fine with harper . I was not stupid enough to keep all my eggs in the Canadian basket . Anyone with half a brain would have seen the 70 cent dollar coming eight years ago . The ones I am absolutely terrified for are my kids , grand kids and great grandkids . They will suffer the damage that this thing has done . Btw he’s not really that smart . He’s lucky . He’s lucky that Canadians are stupid .
Nah, he got lucky that the opposition is stupid
The election can be called earlier, however, the election date is fixed so that date won’t change.
What makes you think that Minion 14 ?
Maybe Harper will prorogue the election, if it looks like he is going to lose, he has prorogued parliament not it not once, but twice before so he can hold onto power… this says a lot about him. If it looks like he is going to lose, the Harpercite shuts down government!
I must admit there are not much leadership qualities in the three who are running for the NDP Candidacy. But what the heck everyone votes along party lines now anyway.
This is Prince George. What were you expecting Sophic?
The conservatives set the election date by law, it can’t be changed without Parliament sitting
You’re kidding , right minion .
Harper will never call an early election…that would be akin to retiring early. He will grasp onto power by any means he can come up with.
Minion states; “The conservatives set the election date by law, it can’t be changed without Parliament sitting.” Sorry Minion, Harper already broke his own law.
“On May 3, 2007, royal assent was given to An Act to Amend the Canada Elections Act, and Oct. 19, 2009, was set as the date for the next election. The act stated plainly that it did not affect the governor-general’s discretion to call an election at any time, and on Stephen Harper’s advice, Michelle Jean called the election of Oct. 14, 2008.”

A prime example of Stephen Harper, and his Cons, finding a way to skirt their own laws.
Ataloss. **He’s lucky that Canadians are stupid**
1. I presume you are a Canadian.
2. According to your statement above, this makes you stupid.
