Big Squeeze Goes Today
Prince George, B.C. – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George is hosting its third annual “Big Squeeze” fundraiser today.
“It’s one of the funnest events of the year,” says executive director Tim Bennett. “This year we have 21 teams who have signed up and starting at 10am they are to sell as much lemonade as they can in a four hour period.”
He adds each team is “allowed to raise money however they want as long as it’s legal.”
Bennett says the winning team will not only walk away “with bragging rights, but get to hold the coveted lemon trophy.”
He notes their fundraising goal is to raise $8,000 with all proceeds staying in Prince George.
“To help support our local mentoring programs,” says Bennett. “The money raised will be invested to support our growing group programs – both offered in the community and out of our Rotary Clubhouse.”
